Community work
Wendi believes strongly in generosity, giving back and partnering with her local community to better the lives of others and our world as a whole. Here are a few of the organizations she has sponsored and worked with recently.
Solana Beach Little League
Wendi's company, Move Play Grow, sponsored a Little League team for the first time this 2017 season! She and her husband are the head coaches for this team and are having a fabulous time teaching basic movement fundamentals and a few of the easier baseball rules to our 4 and 5 year old Cubbies!
San Diego Parks and Recreation
Wendi hosts free play dates in the park every week, many times congregating in a hidden treasure in our own back yard. San Dieguito Park, Lower Level is a place where the trees, hills, trails, rocks, streams and ponds (dry beds and wet) are fabulous places for our little ones to explore and learn with one another. The rangers know her well and often come to visit our group to teach us and to show off Zeus and Crawley!
Wendi is currently working on a project with the local rangers to design and build a nature exploration play area, filled with natural loose elements that can be touched, manipulated, used to build and for all sorts of social and imaginary play.
Solana Beach Soccer Club
Wendi's company, Strides Physical Therapy, Inc, has sponsored recreational soccer teams and her husband has volunteer-coached a team for the last 6 years....and counting! Looking forward to fall 2017! Go Beach!
